How a cosmetic dentist can use dental crowns and bridges to replace missing teeth and close "gaps" between teeth.
About this cosmetic dentistry makeover:
This is the same case we just discussed on the previous page. In the text on that page we mention how it would be most ideal if this person's teeth were first repositioned by way of orthodontic treatment (braces). Then after the spacing between each tooth had been idealized dental crowns and dental bridges could be created so to replace the two missing upper teeth and close each space (diastema) that lies between each of the remaining upper and lower teeth. With this version of this cosmetic makeover case we have illustrated how treatment might be approached with out the use of orthodontics.
Our suggestions for a cosmetic dentistry solution:
The idea with this non-orthodontic approach is that the two missing upper teeth are replaced with dental bridges and each diastema (gap) found between the lower teeth is closed by way of placing dental crowns. As you can see the awkwardness of this approach is that since the positioning of the teeth is non-ideal some teeth will end up looking oversized while others will look comparatively too small.
